I was daydreaming my way past the Reform Social & Grill last week when this offer disturbed my reverie: two champagne cocktails and a free steak dinner for £16.
Even as one accustomed to Schotten Preise it seemed like a mouthwatering deal.
I checked their website. Champagne cocktails are around the £12 mark, and the basic steak £16.50.
It’s one of those pricing equations that makes you think there must be a catch. However, maybe not. Online they advertise a range of curious offers, including one that says: “Roll 2 sixes and don’t pay for the drinks” (or you can opt instead to pull a joker from a pack of cards). I wonder if the Ts & Cs (the terms and conditions) are in fact headed ‘G&Ts’?
